Metal Barns

A metal barn is a steel-constructed, barn-style structure, offering a modern and durable alternative to traditional wooden barns. Unlike wood, steel barns are fire-resistant, weatherproof, and low-maintenance, making them an excellent choice for agricultural storage, vehicle protection, and workshop spaces.

Metal barns are typically designed with a standard carport base and lean-tos on both sides, providing ample space for housing multiple vehicles, including cars and RVs. They can also be fully enclosed like a garage, offering secure storage for farm equipment, hay, or livestock.

We offer high-quality metal barn kits for easy assembly, as well as fully customizable options in a variety of sizes, styles, and colors. Built with 12- or 14-gauge steel tubing, our barns are engineered for strength and longevity, ensuring a reliable structure that lasts a legacy.

Types of Metal Barns

Horse Barns

A metal horse barn is our standard barn style structure. The standard barn structure features the center legs to be taller taller than the side legs however they key distinction of the horse barn is the roof. The roof of this structure is tiered to have the center roof taller than the side roofs.

Legacy Barns

Legacy barns are our signature barn style. Same as the horse barn, this steel structure does have taller legs in the center and shorter on the ends; however they key distinction of this style is the continuous roof.

Building Metal Barns

Building a metal barn requires proper planning and site preparation to ensure a stable, long-lasting structure. Metal barns can be installed on various foundation types, including dirt, gravel, concrete, or asphalt, depending on the intended use and structural requirements. While metal barns can be anchored to most surfaces, a concrete foundation is often recommended for maximum stability and durability.

Before installation, the building site must be level and clear of obstructions to ensure proper assembly and structural integrity. It’s also essential to maintain a clear perimeter of at least 4 feet around the site for ease of installation. In cases where a telescopic lift is required for taller barns, up to 30 feet of clearance may be necessary for safe maneuvering and construction.

Proper site preparation helps ensure a smooth installation process and enhances the longevity of the structure. By choosing the right foundation and preparing the site accordingly, you can create a durable and functional metal barn designed to meet your agricultural, storage, or commercial needs.
